DO NOT TOUCH

Currently working on embroideries of ‘art-watchers’. In art institutions, an unspoken rule shapes the body: do not touch. Visitors hold their hands behind their backs which is a gesture of restraint that has quietly become a posture of looking. I translate this habit into embroidery: a slow craft made by hand.
