EEN DOOIE MUS

Currently working on a publication of ‘Een Dooie Mus’ which makes visible what we prefer to ignore; dead animals and discarded waste, side by side. By photographing exactly what we walk past, the reflex to look away becomes the subject itself.

It creates a visual and mental shift. That moment of confusion slows the eye, and that is where awareness begins. Because however unsettling and/or disgusting the images may be, these deaths are not separate from human behavior.
